Fees
Bitpayway charges a single platform fee on each payment, expressed as a percentage of the gross amount paid by the customer. The fee is deducted on-chain at the moment of the transfer, and the remaining amount is sent to your settlement wallet in the same transaction. There are no monthly fees, setup fees or withdrawal fees.
Fee by stablecoin
| Stablecoin | Network | Platform fee | Fee on a payment of (1,000) |
|---|---|---|---|
| USDT · Tether USD | Ethereum | 1.00% | 10.00 USDT |
| Arbitrum | 1.00% | 10.00 USDT | |
| USDC · USD Coin | Ethereum | 1.00% | 10.00 USDC |
| Arbitrum | 1.00% | 10.00 USDC |
The rate applies to each payment individually, including partial payments and each contribution of a multi-destination payment. Network costs of the on-chain transaction (gas on Ethereum and Arbitrum) are paid by the customer and are not part of the platform fee.
How the fee is calculated
The fee is the gross amount paid multiplied by the fee percentage. On a payment of 1000 USDT with a 1% rate, the fee is 1000 × 1% = 10 USDT, and your wallet receives the remaining 990 USDT.
When the result has more decimal places than the token supports, the fee is rounded down. Rounding never increases the fee charged.
The API reports the gross payment as paidAmount, the platform fee as fee,
and the amount received by your wallet as netAmount.
{
"paidAmount": "1000",
"netAmount": "990",
"fee": "10"
}
Multi-destination payments
In a multi-destination payment, the fee is calculated the same way on the gross amount of each contribution and split between you and the partner according to each share. The partner's fee is their gross share multiplied by the fee percentage, and your fee is the rest of the total fee.
A partial payment is divided in the same proportion as the whole order. For example, in a 1000 USDT order where the partner has 300 USDT (30%), with a 1% rate, a partial payment of 500 USDT is split like this:
| Gross amount | Fee | Amount received | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Partner | 150 | 1.5 | 148.5 |
| You | 350 | 3.5 | 346.5 |
| Total | 500 | 5 | 495 |
Amounts are also rounded down when they exceed the token's decimal places. Bitpayway carries these roundings across contributions, so the total follows the split agreed on the order. Overpayments follow the same proportion.
Because of rounding, use the amounts reported by the API (netAmount,
partnerNetAmount, fee, clientCommission and partnerCommission) instead
of recomputing them.
